Education for All

APP BY: Gabrielle Smallwood, Laurie Lapointe, Ayana Carroll and LaKayla Muse.
USER EXAMPLE - Andrea, a single Hispanic mother (native language is Spanish) with 2 Hispanic- American children (who are bi-lingual). Their family comes from an urban community, with not a lot of educational resources, outside of the classroom.
TARGET AUDIENCE - BIPOC from urban communities, since education inequality seems to affect low income families of color the most. We chose a simple and straightforward wireframe, with tabs such as "Scholarships", "Tutoring", "Programs" and "Directory". Our app also introduces a language preference option.
COLORS - We chose orange and yellow because they're bright, open, welcoming and engaging.

MISSION
Our mission at Education for All is to make education accessible to people from all backgrounds, regardless of age and race.
We offer scholarships, tutoring, after-school and summer programs.
It takes a community to encourage our elected officials to provide these free services to low-income communities.
We also provide a forum for users that might have questions or comments about their local schools or just want to build a network within their community.

REVIEWS FROM PARENTS
"Our twins have improved in Math and Science since downloading the EFA app! Amber and Kai have been working outside of the classroom, and we love that it doesn't feel like a burden to them. We're so grateful for Brian, their tutor!"
"It is hard working most of the day, being a single parent and the sole provider for my daughter. Education for All provides a free after-school program that is able to not only accommodate Yolanda until I am off from work, but also helping her with homework. I cannot thank EFA enough for their assistance!"
